Ancient Mariner
Ancient Mariner is from my 2024 album, Pronounced SHEN-ka. It’s a different take on Rime of the Ancient Mariner. The music video was shot in the Pacific Northwest and in Kauai, Hawaii.
To the Morrigan
To the Morrigan is from my album, Druid Chants. I originally wrote it as an invocation for rites with the Black Mountain Mother Grove, then decided to record it. It’s by far my most popular composition to date. You can watch it below.
Spirit of the Wolf
In addition to folk rock Pagan albums, I also do Native American flute albums for meditation. My second flute album was Mist on the Mountain. Spirit of the Wolf is from that album. It was recorded under the name Sencha the Vate.
Firefly Mountain
In 2017-2019 I founded the band Elder Tribe. We only released one album self-titled Elder Tribe. The band ended when my wife and I moved to the West Coast during the Covid pandemic. Firefly Mountain is about a post-apocalyptic world in which a thriving Pagan community survives high on a mountaintop while watching the armies of the Earth destroy each other in the valley below. It was filmed at Bald Rock in South Carolina.
I Went Another Way
This song has been a crowd favorite at my concerts. It’s based on personal experience growing up Pagan with Christian fundamentalist parents. People often come up to me and tell me of similar experiences. The song is a call for understanding and mutual respect. The original version was on my first solo album, Winter of the Wheel. I re-released a version of it with more instrumentation on my Shadow Mountain Fae album. The video is the re-released version.
The Goddess Rising
The Goddess Rising is off my first Pagan solo album, Winter of the Wheel, released in 2015. It’s an invitation to join the growing worldwide community of followers of the Goddess, and a call for peace and communion in the world. It’s a vision of a post-industrial world where we honor diversity and inclusion more than hatred and materialism.
Inside
Inside is the official music video for the song from the Shadow Mountain Fae album. It’s a plea to take care of Mother Earth. Too many calls for sustainable living fall on deaf ears. Permaculture and sustainability shouldn’t be political ideologies, since we all share the planet. This song is about what is, and what should be.
The Night Before Solstice
Doing a Pagan version of The Night before Christmas seems to be a rite of passage for most Pagan poets. In this music video, I present my version. The images came to me in a dream. I hope you enjoy viewing it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
